For my birthday!!!

Well for starters I got a card from Rick and Cheri. Then I got a phone call from Andrea, Mom, Dad, Karen, Karl and my friend Heidi. On the blog a happy birthday from my sister-in-law Kari. Chuck had the boys tell me and of course he told me. I got a email fro Brittany saying happy birthday. As for the day we cut and stacked wood. I made cookies. The boys did school work. I cooked. Then at the end of the day we went out for pie and ice cream. So over all it was a great day for a birthday.

A Sunset to Remember!

It almost looks like a very large fire.
I am loving it here so much. I can't find much to not like about it. I love the 3 feet of snow, I love the small town we live in, I love homeschooling, I even love the 4 wheel drive on my suburban, LOL. I do miss all my friends and family but I talk to most of them alot and so it is all good.

A different visitor!

This guy was sitting in a tree by our house. He is huge. My boys were very excited to see this Bald Eagle so close to us.

Boys and their pocket knives!

Boys love to cut... anything they can get there hands one.. or their hands... no big cuts so far... I do have band aids just in case and super glue on hand... prepared I am...
They ( even Chuck) have been whittling lots of stuff. Today they went on a drive and came home with cool walking sticks....which of course they had to carve. I had to threaten to take away their knives so they would eat dinner. Funny boys. Then after dinner I bribbed them with a game of Yatzee. It worked. Then the knives came out again but it was bed time. I bet they have them under their pillows dreaming about what to carve next. BOYS!!!
