Quilting Class!!

Today Cheri and I started our quilting class. This is the block we did. I have never done real quilting and this was fun. I was very nerves at first because the pieces were very small and you had to sew straight and exactly right. After I got everything cut out which was crazy. I began to sew. I got the middle piece done. We were there for 4 hours.

When I got home I decided to finish my block for the month. I think it turned out very good. It is purples and greens. I love it. 1 done 11 more to go. Fun Fun Fun.

D.A.R.E. Graduation for Cory!

Today we went to Cory's DARE graduation. It was fun and great cake and ice cream after.

This is Cory's whole class. It is a fifth and sixth grade combo class.

Look what I did!

I went to Cheri's house and we made Strawberry Jam and Banana Bread. It was so much fun and easy. We also picked out our material for our quilting class we are starting Saturday. I am very excited.

Sometime life gets so busy.......

You know life gets so busy that a whole week can go by and it feels like a day. Well for my update...... The snow is melting and I am truly sad. I am not sure why I am though because in Spokane I was always ready for the snow to go away. Here, well...... it is just to beautiful. I drive maybe 2 miles a day and that takes me to the school twice, post office and the library some days. I spend most of my day at home being crafty or on the computer. I have started volunteering at the school and that is fun but it just isn't Orchard Center.
The boys and I went on a walk the other day and they loved it. I was a little nerves because I didn't want to run into a moose. We didn't and all was good. Chuck found out he passed the Firefighting test and now we are working hard on the EMT. He takes his test for that on May 4th.
Chris had his first 2 basketball games. He did very good. Made lots of points and was just fun to watch. Cory is getting excited to go on a over-nighter with his class. Both the boys are excited that school is out in 4 1/2 weeks. They are so ready to go fishing. OK so that is my update.

It's a Family thing!!!!

We all get involved when it is time to cut and chop wood.

We love Alaska!

MORE SNOW HERE! YEAH!!!

Today we woke up to "6" more inches of snow! It was so beautiful. Here are some pics I took after taking the boys to school.

These are my track in the driveway. I had to lock in the hubs to make it out. Fun!

This is a pic of our out house and the beautiful pine tree in my yard. No I have never used the outhouse and don't plan on it. LOL

One of my views from my front door.

A close up on the outhouse, Just for you Niki!!!

The snow sitting on my roof. Awesome!
As you all can tell I am loving the winter time. Alaska is so beautiful.

Update, just because......

Our snow is melting and I am very sad. Spring is coming and there is nothing I can do. Oh well, I guess Spring is beautiful in some places. Here it is all mud and yuck. But summer Ye Haw!

OK on to important stuff.....HMM.....

The boys have 6 1/2 weeks of school left and they can't wait to go fishing. This week has been State Testing and the boys are sure glad they are not in Spokane doing the WASL. Chris is loving Basketball. Cory is working hard in band for a concert.

Chuck is drained. He is glad he only has to do EMT right now.

As for me I am enjoying chatting with family and friends I find on the
"Facebook", "Instant Messager" , and of course the "BLOGS". I love reading emails from you all too. Phone calls are good too. I hear from Andrea and Karen alot. Keeps me feeling not so far away.

KEEP SMILING
